Newport Indoor Market was delighted to host The Shropshire Land Girls recently as one of their pop up stalls. Supported by The Lavender Farm both local businesses were welcomed. 'It's so lovely to see fresh locally grown flowers in the market again' said one excited customer. 'It's a shame they aren't here every week, but I'll keep my eye out for them'.

The Heartful Home - For upcycling, crafting and antiques!! A stall full of beautiful hand painted furniture, pretty bunting and wreaths, vintage and antiques all inspired by French brocante, rustic farmhouse and country living style. Helen has a love of beautiful floral fabrics and embroidery, kitchen-alia, old pieces of furniture and everything that looks like it has a story to tell.

The importance of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee can't be underestimated. Some of us remember The Silver Jubilee when we were children. Making memories with children has never been more important, so Newport Indoor Market have designed a colouring competition.

Join us this weekend at Newport Indoor Market for a Childrens' Letter Hunt! Similar to a treasure hunt - you'll find a letter on each stall, jot the letter down on the sheet we give you, once you've got all the letters unscramble them to reveal three words! Whilst you're visiting please ask about entering our Jubilee Childrens' Colouring Competition too!

Newport Country Markets - The sun has got his hat on for the next couple of weeks, and we have the Queens Platinum Jubilee to look forward to. Orders are now being taken for any baked goods, cakes etc, so come on down to Newport Indoor Market and take a look at our homemade produce and Jubilee celebration craft and make sure you stock up on treats to celebrate.

A Top Tip from our lovely Pat at Fudgeways Try their Chocolate Twirly with some red grapes...uummm! The two just go together perfectly! Of course I had to try it out to make sure Pat was right!!

Good Friday sees the market open as usual. Traditionally fish is eaten on Good Friday and Gill's fish will be in attendance. Lots of Easter treats - fudge, chocolates, cakes and pastries will be hard to resist too!

On Saturday 23rd April Newport will be celebrating St Georges Day starting at 10am. Please note Newport High Street is closed from 12pm-1.15pm but the market will definitely be open.

Some of our most regular customers in the market are dogs!! It is their weekly treat to visit the market with their owners to see the butchers and the pet stall. We are very dog friendly and some of our stallholders have canine company behind their stalls too - clue 'Hound the Twist'!

Gail from Meridian Life Crystal and Holistic Gift Shop has been feeling totally overwhelmed and completely helpless about everything that is happening in the Ukraine, and at a loss as to what to do. Wanting to do something to help she has been crocheting these little bears to sell and donate the money to the British Red Cross Ukraine Appeal.

Peach Plum Pear will be opening this week. Selling pre-loved designer clothes, shoes and accessories for children and adults alike. We are environmentally conscious and find joy in sourcing “nifty thrifty” clothing that has plenty of wear left. Our stock is quickly changing and each week you visit there will be an array of surprises to rummage through and enjoy.
