Stallholder Anita raised in excess of £1000 for Macmillan Cancer Support on Saturday 26th June watched by fellow traders and customers. Not only did she have all of her hair shaved off and raise much needed funds but her hair was plaited beforehand so that her lovely locks could be sent to the Little Princesses Trust www.littleprincesses.org.uk. Well done Anita!!
A good question. What IS your preference - we may well ask? Traders in the market have been experiencing 'alternative' shopping habits just lately. Currently 'Footy Fodder' has been flying out of the doors (pies, pasties etc) - easy to eat without leaving that settee! Soon to come is Wimbledon - maybe it will be the decadence of scones, cream and strawberries!
Anita from the market will be having her head shaved on 26th June at 1.30pm to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. Market customers and traders have already raised in excess of £650. 'Some stallholders have been putting their 10p charge for a carrier bag in the box' said Anita 'it's surprising how this mounts up – I’m delighted’
