Sustainable Diamond Deli

Dimaond Deli are please to announce that in line with 'Sustainable Newport' they have switched to bio-degradable carrier bags. In addition they use eco friendly satco plastic food tubs and accept returns of these washed for re-use. Were possible paper packaging is used and they use high grade Flavoil in some of their vegan products - a healthier option. To prevent waste, left over snacks are given to Shropshire food share every Saturday and will reach out to help with sustainability initiatives accordingly. Well done Diamond Deli!!

Winner winner - lots for dinner!!

Stallholders at Newport Indoor Market Shropshire recently presented a hamper worth approximately £100 to the lucky winner of the Harper Adams RAG raffle. All proceeds of the raffle went to the Farm Safety Foundation and RABI and the Blue Cross. A Covid friendly presentation took place in the market Well done Harper Adams and well done stallholders!!

Mark of respect - early finish at Newport Market

As a mark of respect Newport (Shropshire) Indoor Market will close early on Saturday 17th April, the day of Prince Phillips' funeral which starts at 3pm. Stalls will open as usual at 8.00am but the market will close at 2pm. Our thoughts are with Her Majesty The Queen who has lost her best friend and companion of 70 years.

Stallholders at Newport Indoor Market Shropshire have generously donated a prize worth approximately £100 to help raise funds for charity. This year the RAG team at Harper Adams are hosting an Easter Prize Draw with over 30 INCREDIBLE prizes up for grabs to raise money for their three amazing charities: The Farm Safety Foundation, The RABI & The Blue Cross. A hamper full of wonderful goodies (not the one in the image) has been donated by the market with everything you need for outdoor dining with your family/friends this Easter. Fruit, veg, cheese, meat, chocolate, cake, wine etc.................. The market is open from 8am - 3.30pm on Good Friday and Easter Saturday.

Sadly Easter falls before our essential stalls can re-open but don't worry there is still and abundance of sweet and savoury goodies available. Newport Indoor Market now stock most products needed by celiacs who require foods prepared in a gluten free environment. Kerry Flavell at Newport Indoor Market started her stall some two years ago because two members of her family suffer from Celiac disease where the ingestion of gluten leads to damage in the small intestine. Kerry has plenty of experience when it comes to providing tasty meals for those with a gluten intolerance. Love at the bus stop!!

Our lovely Gill Perry (Gill’s Fish) went on a night out when she was 17 with her best friend, a few drinks later and on the way home they met two boys at the bus stop and arranged to meet them the following week! Gill didn’t go and as it turned out her date, John (who was 16), didn’t turn up either!
