A Top Tip from our lovely Pat at Fudgeways Try their Chocolate Twirly with some red grapes...uummm! The two just go together perfectly! Of course I had to try it out to make sure Pat was right!!

Good Friday sees the market open as usual. Traditionally fish is eaten on Good Friday and Gill's fish will be in attendance. Lots of Easter treats - fudge, chocolates, cakes and pastries will be hard to resist too!

On Saturday 23rd April Newport will be celebrating St Georges Day starting at 10am. Please note Newport High Street is closed from 12pm-1.15pm but the market will definitely be open.

Some of our most regular customers in the market are dogs!! It is their weekly treat to visit the market with their owners to see the butchers and the pet stall. We are very dog friendly and some of our stallholders have canine company behind their stalls too - clue 'Hound the Twist'!

Gail from Meridian Life Crystal and Holistic Gift Shop has been feeling totally overwhelmed and completely helpless about everything that is happening in the Ukraine, and at a loss as to what to do. Wanting to do something to help she has been crocheting these little bears to sell and donate the money to the British Red Cross Ukraine Appeal.

Peach Plum Pear will be opening this week. Selling pre-loved designer clothes, shoes and accessories for children and adults alike. We are environmentally conscious and find joy in sourcing “nifty thrifty” clothing that has plenty of wear left. Our stock is quickly changing and each week you visit there will be an array of surprises to rummage through and enjoy.

Morag’s bakes was formed in October 2022 and is a local bakery providing fully plant-based cakes, tray-bakes and sweet treats. A wide range of decadent delights to tantalise your taste buds. I’ll be in Newport Indoor Market this Friday 11th and Saturday 12th February just through the door off Stafford Street.

All of our handmade luxury candles, wax melts & diffusers are individually hand pored with love and care, using the highest quality soy wax (Vegan Friendly) and the finest fragrance oils. We have a range of wax burners to accompany the melts to bring beautiful fragrance to your home. We will be in Newport Indoor Market this Friday 11th & Saturday 12th so hope to see you there.

Situated by the Stafford Street entrance, Mary (Vegan cakes) and Nicola (wax melts and candles), will hold pop-up stalls on Friday and Saturday this week (11th and 12th February). Pop-up stalls give traders, not ready to commit to a permanent stall, a safe environment to ‘test the water’. Anyone interested in taking a stall should email newportmarketcompany@btconnect.com

With February looming and 2022 well underway the town is starting to pick up again following the post-Christmas lull. Stallholders at the market are re-stocked and re-freshed back from their holidays ready to serve the local public. Meat, veg, fish, cheese, fruit, cakes, pastries, bread, pet food, chocolates, fudge, herbs and spices and much more. Remember - Supporting local traders supports your local town.
